India will be on tour to Australia to play 5 one day internationals and 3 twenty20 internationals during 12th January to 31st January 2016. Squad for Australia tour has been announced. The selectors made six changes to the T20 squad that lost 2-0 to South Africa in October. The BCCI also confirmed that MS Dhoni would continue to captain both the ODI and T20I teams till the 2016 World T20.

Yuvraj has been picked for India's T20i squad for the upcoming Australia series 2016 to go before the World T20. Suresh Raina and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been dropped from India's ODI squad for the upcoming tour of Australia, following a poor home series against South Africa. ODI squad included Punjab's 23-year-old left-arm pacer Barinder Sran and recall Manish Pandey and Rishi Dhawan for ODI squad.
