Last match of 5 ODI series between Enaland and India played today at Headingley, Leeds. England won the match by 41 runs and beat India for the first time in this ODI series. JE Root was man of the match for his 113 runs with superb batting performance.
Earlier, India won the toss and put England into bat first. England could not made batter start and lost 2 wickets early. But skipper AN Cook (46) and JE Root (113) played very good innings for England and recovered the early damage as well. In later overs JC Buttler played quick inning of 49 runs of 40 balls and England managed to put good score of 294 runs at the end of 50 overs.
Following huge target of 295 runs, India could not made batter start and lost AM Rahane early for a duck. Kohli also got out scoring 13 runs. AT Rayudu played well and contributed 53 runs. RA Jadeja also played well and made 87 runs of 68 balls. Other Indian batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. India all out scoring 253 runs in 48.4 overs and lost the match by 41 runs.
