1st Match ICC World T20 2014 : The 1st match of ICC Wolrd Twenty20 2014 has been played today in Share Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Bangladesh between Home Team Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

Bangladesh registered tremendious 9 wickets win over Afghanistan and made 1st win of ICC world twenty20 2014. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh declared man of the match for his good bowling and picked up 3 important wickets in his 3.1 overs spending just 8 runs.

Earlier Bangladesh won the Toss and put Afghanistan into bat first. Mohammad Shahzad lost his wickets of very first ball of Afghanistan inning of Mortaza and put his team into trouble. Another opening batsman Najeeb Tarakai also made his way scoring just 7 runs of Shakib Al Hasan. Other Afghanistan batsman could not handle the pressure of playing against Bangladesh and whole team out scoring just 72 runs in 17.1 overs.

Following small target of 73 runs, Bangladesh strated their inning confidently and play some good strokes in initial overs. Opener Tamim Iqbal lost his wicket scoring 21 runs but, next coming batsman Shakib Al Hasan joined with Anamul Haque and played sensible cricket and managed to cross Afghanistan score just in 12 ovwrs. Anamul Haque played quick inning of 44 runs with 4 fours and 3 massive sixes. Both remained not out till end and Bangladesh won tha match when 48 ball were spares to bowl.

Thus, Bangladesh started well in ICC World Twenty20 2014 and registered wel come win at home.
