Putting into bat first by Australia, India with Shreyas Iyer's 37 balls 53 runs and Axar Patel's 21 balls 31 runs managed to set good defending target of 161 runs for Australia to get. Jason Behrendorff and Ben Dwarshuis with 2 wickets each were top bowlers for Australia.

Following 161 runs taget, Australia most batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals.
