IPL 7 Kings XI Punjab vs Kolkata Knight Riders Report

15th match of IPL season 2014 was played between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi. Punjab with all round performanced won the low srore match by 23 runs. Sandip Sharma was man of the match for his tight bowling and picked up 4 wickets.

Earlier Kolkata won the toss and decided to field first. Punjab puting into bat first lost CA Pujara early. V Sehwag played good inning of 37 runs but, other middle order and lower order batsmen could not stood in middle for lonf\g and lost wickets in regular interwals. At the end of 20 overs Punjab managed to put small totals of 131 runs on board to achieved for Kolkata.

Following target fo 132 runs, Kolkata as usual could not made batter start and lost 3 wickets early in just 19 runs. Skipper Gambhir came on no.3 but he also failed today and made only 1 run. Other middle order batsmen faild to bat well and went back to pavilloin early. Only SA Yadav played good inning of 34 runs but, not enough to reach Punjab total of 132 runs. At last Kolkata all out in 18.2 overs adn managed to score 109 runs and lost the match by 23 runs. Sandip Sharma of Punjab got 4 wickets.

Thus, Punjab got 2 more points and remained unbeaten in season7 and Kolkata got 0 points. Sandip Sharma declared man of the match for his tight bowling and picked up 4 importent wickets.
