12th Match of IPLt20 2016 has been played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 18th April 2016. Putting into bat first by Hyderabad, Mumbai managed to put average total of 142 runs in 20 overs. AT Rayudu 54 and KH Pandya 49* were top scorer for Mumbai. Hyderabad in Reply chased the given target in 17.3 overs and won the match by 7 wkts. DA Warner played anchoring inning of 90* runs and he daclared man of the match for leading from top.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to field first. Mumbai changed batting order and send MJ Guptill to open inning with PA Patel. The decision not gone in favor of Mumbai and MJ Guptill gone in very first over scoring just 2 runs. PA PAtel also followed him scoring 10 runs. RG Sharma came on no. 4 and left the field contributing just 5 runs. Next coming JC Buttler also failed today and gone for 11 only. AT Rayudu and KH Pandya played well and contributed well 54 and 49* runs for Mumbai and put 142 runs on board in 20 overs.

Following target of 143 runs, Hyderabad lost S Dhawan early but skipper DA Warner took the charge in hand played superb inning for Hyderabad. He smashed 90* runs of 59 balls and presented 1st win in IPL 2016 with comprehensive win over Mumbai by 7 wkts.
