Opting to bat first, India with Pujara's 193, RR Pant's 159*, RA Jadeja's 81 and MA Agrawal's 77 runs managed to put huge totals of 622/7d runs in 1st inning. Australia made 300 runs in 1st inning and forced for follow-on. Australia were 6/0 in 2nd inning and rain stopped the match for next two days. Match drawn but India won 4-match series 2-1. Pujara declared man of the match and man of the series for his superb batting performance.
