1st Test Day-4 : Ravichandran Ashwin's 6 for 88 and 113 runs powered India to out played Bangladesh by 280 runs

1st Test match of two test match series will be played between India vs Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai during 19th to 23rd September, 2024.

Day-4

Resume batting on 158/4, Bangladesh team all out scoring 234 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 280 runs. Najmul Hossain Shanto with 82 runs was top scorer for Bangladesh. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled well and took 6 wickets of 88 runs. RA Jadeja picked up 3 wickets as well. Ravichandran Ashwin declared man of the match. India led 2-match series 1-0.

Day-3

Resume batting on 81/3, India bated well and declared inning scoring well 287/4 in 2nd inning. India set target of 515 runs for Bangladesh to get. Rishabh Pant's 109 and Shubman Gill with unbeaten 119 runs were top scorers for India. Bangladesh are 158/4 at stumps day-4. Ashwin took 3 wickets for India. Bangladesh needs more 357 runs to win the match.

Day-2

Resume batting on 339/6, India team all out scoring 376 runs. R Ashwin with 113 runs was top scorer for India. Hasan Mahmud took 5 wickets and Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets for Bangladesh. Batting in 1st inning Bangladesh team all out scoring just 149 runs. Shakib Al Hasan with 32 runs was top scorer. Jasprit Bumrah took wickets. Siraj, Akash Deep and Jadeja picked up 2 wickets each. India are 81/3 at stumps.

Day-1

Putting into bat first by Bangladesh, India lost three wickets just in 34 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal played sensible inning of 56 runs before left the field. Spin bowling all rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took the charge in hand and played wonderful cricket. Ashwin with superb 102* and Jadeja with excellent 86* runs were in middle at stumps. India are 339/6 at the end of 1st day play. Hasan Mahmud bowled well and took 4 wickets for Bangladesh as well.
