2nd Test Day-5 : Jaiswal's 72 & 51 runs with superb bowling powered India to upset Bangladesh by 7 wkts, India won series 2-0

2nd Test match of two test match series will be played between India vs Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur during Friday, Sept 27-Oct 01, 2024.

Day-5

Resume batting on 26/2, Bangladesh team all out scoring 146 runs. Shadman Islam with 50 runs was top scorer. Jasprit Bumrah, RA Jadeja and R Ashwin took 3 wickets each. After deducting 52 runs lead, India got 94 runs target. India easily made chase having lost 3 wickets and won he match by 7 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal declared man of the match for his 72 & 51 runs in match. R Ashwin declared player of the series for his 11 wickets in series. India won series 2-0 as well.

Day-4

Resume batting on 107/3 after two days break due to wet out field, Bangladesh team all out scoring 233 runs. Mominul Haque played well and made unbeaten 107 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets. Siraj, Ashwin & Akash Deep shared 2 wickets each for India. Batting in 1st inning, India bated aggressively and declared inning scoring quick 285/9d runs. Yashasvi with 72 runs and KL Rahul with 68 runs were top scorers. Mehidy Hasan Miraz & Shakib Al Hasan took 4 wickets each. Batting in 2nd inning bangladesh were 26/2 as stumps still trailed by 26 runs.

Day-1

Putting into bat first by India, Bangladesh in overcast conditions were 107/3 in 35 overs. Rain stopped the match and on 1st day only 35 overs bowled by India. Akash Deep bowled well and took 2 wickets. R Ashwin took 1 wicket as well. Mominul Haquewith 40 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim with 6 runs were in middle to resume 2nd day play tomorrow.
