Putting into bat first by Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes with DJM Short's excellent 97 runs of 63 balls and BR McDermott's un beaten 49 runs of 25 balls managed to put huge total of 189 runs in 20 overs. Thunder in reply score 180 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 9 runs. JC Buttler played well for Thunders and contributed 81 runs but not enough to cross Hurricanes total and lost the match in tight finished game. D'Arcy Short ceclared man of the match for his 97 runs.
