2nd semi final match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 played between India and Bangladesh on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Putting in to bat first by India, Bangladesh wirh Tamim Iqbal's 70 and M Rahim's 61 managed to put 264 runs in 50 overs. India in reply made chase easily in 40.1 overs and made comprehensive win over Bangladesh by 9 wickets. RG Sharma declared man of the match for his brave 123* runs. India qualify for Final and will played with Pakistan on 18th June.

Earlier, India won the toss and opted to field first and let Bangladesh to set target. Putting into bat first, Bangladesh could not made batter star and lost Soumya Sarkar early in very 1st over for a duck. Sabbir Rahman also fall against B Kumar and left the field scoring 19 runs. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim took the charge in hand and played superb cricket for Bangladesh. Both smashed fifties and put their team on front foot as well. Hardik Pandya was expensive today and Kedar Jadhav got an opportunity to bowl today. He grab this opportunity well and took wickets of both set batsmen Tamim Iqbal (70) and M Rahim (61) with impressive bowling performances. He took two important wickets spending just 22 runs in his 6 overs. Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza played good quick inning of 30 un beaten runs and put Bangladesh on good score of 264 runs in 50 overs. JJ Bumrah, B Kumar and KM Jadhav took two wickets for India.

Following target of 265 runs, India got superb start with RG Sharma and S Dhawan initially. Both added 87 runs for 1st wicket before S Dhawan got out scoring 46 runs. Skipper Virat Kohl ijoined with Rohit and played excellent cricket for India and presented comprehensive win in 40.1 overs by huge margins of 9 wickets. RG Sharma smashed 123* runs and Kohli also contributed well 96* runs for India as well.
