12th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will be played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan of Group B on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Putting into bat first by Pakistan, Sri Lanka's most batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and managed to put average total of 236 runs. N Dickwella played well made 73 runs for Sri Lanka. Junaid Khan and Hasan Ali took three wkts each for Pakistan. Pakistan in reply after middle orders flop show caase given target in 44.5 overs and won by 3 wkts in heatrbeating match. Safraz Ahmed declared man of the match for his match winning unbeaten 61 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. Putting into bat first, Sri Lanka could not made batter start and lost MD Gunathilaka early scoring 13 runs. In form batsman BKG Mendis joined with N Dickwella and played good cricket initially. Mendis got out scoring 27 runs and next man LD Chandimal also followed him for a duck and Sri Lanka were in trouble. Skipper AD Mathews came in middle and took the charge in hand as well. Both bated well till 31st overs and put Sri Lanka on 161/4. Suddemly Sri Lanka lost three wickets and pressure increased. AD Mathews 39, DM de Silva 1 and set batsman N Dickwella 73 were quick wickets gave Pakistan advantage. OTher lower orders put their best but managed to put 236 run in 49.2 overs.

Following target of 237 runs, Pakistan got got good start with Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zamam initially. Both bated sensiblly and added 74 runs for 1st wicket before Fakhar got out scoring very well 50 runs of 36 balls. Other middle order batsmen failed to stood in millde and lost wickets in quick interwals. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and Mhd Amir came in middle and presented Pakistan unbelievable win by 3 wickets with 31 balls remaining. Sarfraz played match winning of 61 unbeaten runs and led Pakistan to qualify for Semi Final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as well. Mhd Amir also played excellent inning of 28* runs and gave matc winning stand to skipper. Pakistan qualify for Semis and will played with England in 1st Semi Final.
