3rd match of CPL 2016 has ben played today between TKR and BT at Port of Spain. Putting into bat first by Barbados Tridents, Knight Riders put good totals of 170 runs in 20 overs. HM Amla 81 and skipper DJ Bravo 66* were top scorer for Knight Riders. Barbados Tridents in reply managed to score 159 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 11 runs. HM Amla declared man of the match for his 81 runs.

Earlier, Barbados won the toss and put Knight Riders into bat first. Knight Riders lost four wickets just in 20 runs and were in deep trouble. Skipper joined with HM Amla and played record 5th wickets inning of 150 runs stand and led TKR to put 170 runs in 20 overs. HM Amla made 81 runs and DJ Bravo contributed quick 66* runs of 46 balls.AJ Hosein and R Rampaul picked up 2 wickets each for Barbados.

Following huge target of 171 runs, Barbados got good start with SR Taylor and KA Hope initially. Both added 37 and 11 runs before left the field. Shakib Al Hasan also played good inning of 28 runs but failed to stood in middle for long. N Pooran in later overs played quick inning of 33 runs of just 12 balls but not enugh to cross TKR score of 170 runs and Barbados managed to score 159 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 11 runs. KK Cooper and SP Narine picked up 2 wickets each for Knight Riders.
