1st match of Hero Caribbean Premier League 2016 has been played between Trinbago Knight Riders v St Lucia Zouks at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on Wednesday Jun 29, 2016. Putting into bat first by St Lucia Zouks, Knight Riders managed to put good totals of 162 runs with DM Bravo's superb 63* runs in 20 overs. St Lucia Zouks in reply chased the given traget in 19.1 overs and won by 6 wickets (with 5 balls remaining). J Charles declared man of the match for his 52 runs and led from the front.

Earlier, St Lucia Zouks won the toss and put Trinbago Knight Riders to bat first. Knight Riders open inning with BB McCullum and HM Amla. McCullum went early scoring 12 runs and HM Amla followed him scoring 26 runs. C Munro came in middle but lost his wicket scoring just 11 runs and Knight Riders were in troublr. DM Bravo and Umar Akmal took the charge in hand and made well 63* and 30 runs and hepl TKR to put good score of 162 runs in 20 overs. SR Watson picked up 3 wickets for ZOU.

Following taget of 163 runs, St Lucia Zouks made good start with J Charles and SR Watson initially. Both played good cricket and contributed well 52 and 16 runs before left the field. ADS Fletcher and DA Miller also played useful innings of 23 and 33* for ZOU and presented first win of CPL2016 to St Lucia Zouks by 6 wickets with 5 balls remaining. J Charles daclared man of the match for his 52 runs from the top.
