CH Gayle's 54* followed by excellent bowling led Patriot to defend 149 and step-up to final for the first time

1st Qualifier match of CPLT20 2017 has been played between Knight Riders vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots today. Putting into bat first by Knight Riders, Patriots managed to put defending total of 149/7 runs in 20 overs. Skipper CH Gayle contributed 54 unbeaten runs for Patriots. Knight Riders in reply all out scoring 111 runs in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 38 runs. CH Gayle declared man of the match for his 54 runs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots advanced to final and Knight Riders will play qualifier 2 with winner of eliminator match.
