3rd Test Day - 4 : Jadeja's 7 for & 112 runs and YBK Jaiswal's 214 runs powered India to biggest test win by 434 runs, India led series 2-1
3rd Test match of five test match series between India vs England at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot during Thursday, 15 to Monday 19 February, 2024.
Day -4 : Jadeja's 7 for & 112 runs and YBK Jaiswal's 214 runs powered India to biggest test win by 434 runs, India led series 2-1
Resume batting on 196/2, India declared inning scoring well 430/4d. Yashasvi Jaiswal 214*, Shubman Gill 91 runs and Sarfaraz Khan 68* runs were top scorers for India. Following huge target of 556 runs, England team all out scoring just 122 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 434 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets. He declared man of the match for his all roun performance 7 wickets in match and 112 runs. India led series 2-1 as well.
Day -3 : Mhd Siraj's 4 for and YBK Jaiswal's 104 runs led India to gain healthy lead of 322 runs, India score 196/2 at stumps
Resume batting on 207/2, England all out scoring 319 runs. Ben Duckett score well 153 runs and Ben Stokes contributed 41 runs for England. Mohammed Siraj 4 wickets was top bowler for India. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets each as well. Batting in 2nd inning India were 196/2 at stumps. Yashasvi Jaiswal got retired hurt scoring well 104 runs. Shubman Gill with 65 runs and Kuldeep Yadav with 3 runs to resume 4th day play. India led by by 322 runs.
Day -2 : Duckett's counter attacking inning of unbeaten 133 runs led England to score 207/2 at stumps, India all out scoring 445 runs
Resume batting on 326/5 India all out scoring 445 runs. Jadeja score well 112 runs and Dhruv Jurel contributed 46 runs on 2nd day. Mark Wood with 4 wickets was top bowler for England. Rehan Ahmed took 2 wickets as well. Batting in 1st inning England were 207/2 at stumps. Ben Duckett with quick 133 runs of 118 balls and Joe Root with 9 runs to resume 3rd day play. England still trailed by 238 runs overs India's 445 runs.
Day -1 : Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja's hundreds with sensible batting performances led India to score 326/5 at stumps
Opting to bat first, India lost top three wickets of just 33 runs. Rohit Sharma and RA Jadeja took the charge in hand and played wonderful innings for India. Both shashed superb centuries with excellent batting. Rohit made superb 131 runs before left the field. Jadeja bated well and score unbeaten 110 runs. Debuten Sarfraz Khan also played wonderful inning of 62 runs before unfortunately got run out. India are 326/5 at stumps Day-1.
