4th Test Day - 4 : Dhruv Jurel's 90 & 39* runs with 3 dismissals and spin trio's killer bowling led India to upset England by 5 wkts & led series 3-1

4th Test match of five test match series between India vs England at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi during Friday, 23 to Tuesday 27 February, 2024.

Day - 4

Resume batting on 40/0, India with Rohit Sharma's 55 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal's 37 runs, Shubman Gill's unbeaten 52 runs and Dhruv Jurel's 39 unbeaten runs made given chase of 192 chase easily and won the match by 5 wickets. Shoaib Bashir took 3 wickets for England. Dhruv Jurel declared man of the match for his 90 & 39* runs with 3 dismissals behind the wickets. India won the 5-match series as well.

Day - 3

Resume batting on 219/7, India all out scoring 307 runs, Dhruv Jurel played well and made superb 90 runs. Shoaib Bashir bowled well and took 5 wickets for England. England got 46 runs lead. Batting in 2nd inning, England team all out scoring 145 runs. Zak Crawley with 60 runs was top scorer for England. Ashwin with superb bowling took 5 wickets. Kuldeep also took 4 wkts as well. India got 192 runs target to win. India were 40/0 at stumps and needs more 152 runs to win.

Day - 2

Resume batting on 302/7, England all out scoring 353 runs, Joe Root made superb 122 runs and Ollie Robinson contributed well 58 runs. RA Jadeja took 4 wickets for India. Batting in 1st inning, India are 219/7 at stumps. Yashasvi Jaiswal score well 73 runs before left the field. Shoaib Bashir bowled well and took 4 wickets. Dhruv Jurel with 30 runs and Kuldeep Yadav with 17 runs to resume batting on 3rd day with 219/7.

Day - 1

Opting to bat first, England at one stage 112/5 in 25th overs. Joe Root and Ben Foakes took the charge in hand and played good cricket. Ben Foakes made 47 runs and Joe Root played wonderful inning of unbeaten 106 runs. England were 302/7 at stumps. Akash Deep bowled well in very 1st match and took top 3 wickets as well. Mohammed Siraj also took 2 wickets. Root with 106 runs and Ollie Robinson with 31 runs to resume batting on 2nd day.
