5th Test Day-3 : Ashwin's 9 wkts & Kuldeep's 7 wkts in match with Rohit-Shubman's century led India to won by an inngs and 64 runs, India won series 4-1

5th Test match of five test match series between India vs England at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala during Thursday, 07 to Monday 11 March, 2024.

Day-3

Resume batting on 473/8, India team all out scoring 477 runs adding just 4 more runs. Shoaib Bashir took 5 wickets for England. Batting in 2nd inning with 259 runs debt, England team all out scoring just 195 runs and lost the match by huge margins of an innings and 64 runs. Joe Root with 84 runs was top scorer for England. R Ashwin bowled well and picked-up wickets. Kuldeep Yadav declared man of the match for his 7 wkts and 30 runs in match. Yashasvi Jaiswal declared player of the series for his 712 runs in series. India won 5-match series 4-1 as well.

Day-2

Resume batting on 135/1, India with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill's wonderful centuries, Devdutt Padikkal and Sarfaraz Khan's fifties bated superbly and were 473/8 at stumps Day-2. Kuldeep Yadav with 27 runs and Jasprit Bumrah with 19 runs were in middle to resume batting on 3rd day. Shoaib Bashir with 4 wickets was top bowler for England. India gain lead of 255 runs over England as well.

Day-1

Opting to bat first, England team all out scoring 218 runs in 57.4 overs. Zak Crawley with 79 runs was top scorer for England. Kuldeep Yadav bowled well and took 5 wickets. R Ashwin also took 4 wickets for India as well. Batting in 1st inning, India were 135/1 at stumps. Yashasvi Jaiswal played well and made 57 runs of 58 balls. Rohit Sharma with 52 runs and Shubman Gill with 26 runs to resume 2nd day play for India.
