3rd T20i : Varun's 5 for 24 went in vain as Duckett's quick 51 runs & Rashid's tight bowling led England to win over India by 26 runs
3rd T20i match of limited overs match series between India vs England played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on Tuesday, 28 January, 2025.
Putting into bat first by India, England with Ben Duckett's 28 balls quick 51 runs, Jos Buttler's 24 runs and Liam Livingstone's firing 24 balls 43 runs set good target of 172 runs for India to get. Varun Chakravarthy bowled very well and picked up 5 wickets of 24 runs in his 4 overs.
Following 172 runs target, India with top order batsmen failure managed to score 146/9 in 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs. Hardik Pandya with 40 runs was top scorer for India. Jamie Overton bowled well and took 3 wickets for England. Varun Chakrawathy declared man of the match for his 5 wickets. India still led 5-match series 2-1.
