Putting into bat first by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka with Charith Asalanka's wonderful 108 runs, Pathum Nissanka & Sadeera Samarawickrama's 41 runs each managed to set good defending target of 280 runs for Bangladesh to get. Tanzim Hasan Sakib was expensive but took 3 wickets of 80 runs. Most controversal timed out dismissal of Angelo Mathews observed today in history of world cricket.
Following 280 runs target, Bangladesh with Najmul Hasan Shanto's 90 runs and Shakib Al Hasan's quick 65 balls 82 runs made chase easily in 41.1 overs and won the match by 3 wickets. Dilshan Madushanka with 3 wickets was top bowler for Sri Lanka. Shakib Al Hasan declared man of the match for all round performance 2 wickets and 82 quick runs.
