13th Match of ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 played between England vs Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Putting into bat first by England, Afghanistan got very good start with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran initially. Both added 114 runs for 1st wicket before Ibrahim Zadran got out scoring 28 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz bated superb inning of 57 balls 80 runs before got unfortunate run out. Ikram Alikhil also played superb inning of 58 runs and helps Afghanistan to set good target of 285 runs for England to get. Adil Rashid bowled well and took 3 wickets for England as well.

Following 285 runs target, England with very poor batting performances managed to score 215 runs in 40.3 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 69 runs. Harry Brook with 66 runs was top scorer for England. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan took three wickets each for Afghanistan. Mujeeb Ur Rahman declared man of the match for his quick 28 runs and 3 important wickets.
