Putting into bat first by England, South Africa with Quinton de Kock's quick 38 bals 65 runs and David Miller's 28 balls 43 runs managed to set 164 runs target for England to get. Jofra Archer was expensive but took 3 wickets of 40 runs in his 4 overs.

Following 164 runs, England after top orders failure fought hard with Harry Brook's 37 balls 53 runs and Liam Livingstone's 17 balls 33 runs but managed to score 156/6 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 7 runs.
