Super Eight Match 3 : Suryakumar's 28 balls 53 runs followed by Bumrah's 3 for just 7 runs powered India to out played Afghanistan by 47 runs

3rd match of ICC t20 Worldcup 2024 Super Eight stage played between India vs Afghanistan at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Opting to bat first, India with Suryakumar Yadav's quick 28 balls 53 runs and Hardik Pandya's 24 balls 32 runs managed to set good target of 182 runs for Afghanistan to get. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Rashid Khan shared 3 wickets each for Afghanistan as well.

Following huge target of 182 runs, Afghanistan most batsmen failed to bat well and team all out scoring 134 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 47 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai with 26 runs was top scorer for Afghanistan. Jasprit Bumrah bowled impressive 4 overs and took 3 wickets spending just 7 runs. Arshdeep Singh also took 3 wickets of 36 runs. Suryakumar declared man of the match for his 28 balls 53 runs.
