8th match of ICC t20 Worldcup 2024 played between India vs Ireland at Nassau County Cricket Stadium, New York on Wednesday, June 05, 2024.
Putting into bat first by India, Ireland collepsed badly against Indian pace attack and at one stage were 50/8 in 12th over. Ireland managed to score 96 runs in 16 overs and all out before 24 balls remainings to bowl. Hardik Pandya bowled well and took 3 wickets of 27 runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh also took 2 wickets each for India as well.
Following small target of 97 runs, India with confident batting performances made chase easily in 12.2 overs and won the match by huge margins of 8 wickets. Rohit Sharma retired hurt scoring well 37 balls 52 runs. Rishabh Pant also played good unbeaten inning of 26 balls 36 runs for India. JJ Bumrah declared man of the match for his 2 wickets of just 6 runs in his 3 overs.
