1st Semi Final match of ICC t20 Worldcup 2024 played between South Africa vs Afghanistan at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Opring to bat first, Afghanistan with very poor batting performances all out in 11.5 having score just 56 runs. Marco Jansen and Tabraiz Shamsi bowled well and took 3 wickets each. Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada also shared 2 wickets each for South Africa.

Following small target of 57 runs, South Africa bated well and made chase in 8.5 overs and won the match comprehensively by 9 wickets wih 67 balls remaining. Reeza Hendricks with 29 runs and Aiden Markram with 23 runs remained unbeaten. Marco Jansen declared man of the match for his important 3 wickets of 16 runs in his 3 overs.
