Final match of ICC t20 Worldcup 2024 played between South Africa vs India at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Opting to bat first, India lost three wicket in just 34 runs. Virat Kohli and Axar Patel took the charge in hand and played good cricket. Both addec 72 runs before Axar got run out scoring quick 31 balls 47 runs. Virat played superb inning of 59 balls 76 runs before lost his wicket. India set good target of 177 runs for Africa to get.Anrich Nortje and Keshav Maharaj tok 2 wickets each for Africa as well.
Following 177 runs target, South Africa with Quinton de Kock's 39 runs, Tristan Stubbs' 31 runs and Heinrich Klaasen's classic and quick 27 balls 52 runs tried best but managed to score 169/8 runs in 20 overs and lost the T20 Worldcup 2024 title by 7 runs. Hardik Pandya bowled superb last over and took 3 wickets of 20 runs. Arshdeep and Bumrah also took 2 wickets each. Virat declared man of the match for his superb 76 runs.
