Qualifier 12 : Sikandar Raza's 23 balls 40 runs & Craig Ervine's 58 runs led Zimbabwe to win by 5 wkts and knocked out Scotland
12th Qualifier match of ICC T20 worldcup 2022 played between Scotland vs Zimbabwe on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.
Opting to bat first, Scotland with poor batting performances managed to set small target of 133 runs for Zimbabwe to get. George Munsey played slow but good inning of 51 balls 54 runs for Scotland. Tendai Chatara and Richard Ngarava took 2 wickets each for Zimbabwe.
Following 133 runs target, Zimbabwe with skiper Craig Ervine's sensible 58 runs and Sikandar Raza's quick 23 balls 40 runs made chase in 18.3 overs having lost 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. Sikandar Raza declared man of the match for his 1 wicket and quick 40 runs. Zimbabwe rule points tally and qualify for Super-12 as well.
