Day 5 : Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb's sensible batting led Australia to draw 3rd match in Ranchi, 4-match series level 1-1
5th and final day of Ranchi test, Australia resumed batting in huge pressure. Australia were 23/2 and lost 2 more wickets before lunch. Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb took the charge in hand and played outstanding innings for Australia and drawn the match at the end of the day with excellent bating. Australia ended with 204/6 and easily drawn the match. 2-match series level 1-1.

Day 4 : CA Pujara's double & WP Saha's single tones with Jadeja's quick 54* gave India 152 runs lead in 1st inng
India resumed 4th day play on 360/6 with Pujara and WP Saha in the morning. Both played excellent cricket and put India in commanding position. CA Pujara smashed double knock and made 202 runs before left the field. This was his 3rd double hundred in test and 2nd against Australia. WP saha also played sensible cricket and contributed well 117 runs before got out. In later part of day RA Jadeja played quick inning of 54* runs of 55 balls and put India on huge score of 603 runs having lost 9 wickets. India declared inning on 603/9 and gave Australia 152 runs lead over 1st innings Australian score 451 runs.
Australia got 8 overs to play in last session of the day and lost 2 wickets quickly. RA Jadeja picked up both 2 wickets. Australia were 23/2 and still trailed by 129 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

Day 3 : Classic Pujara's 11th 100 knock in test with 130* assured India to relex as India 360/6 at stumps day3
CA Pujara and M Vijay resumed India's inning with 120/1 on 3rd day morning of 3rd test between India and Australia. Both played well and added 102 runs for 2nd wicket before M Vijay got out scoring useful 82 runs. CA Pujara played classic cricket in middle and smashed his 11th test century with excellent batting. Other middle order batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost their wickets in regular interwals. India were 360/6 at stumps day3 with Pujara still in middle contributing 130 runs.

Day 2 : Jadeja's 5 wkts helps India to restrict Australia on 451 and reply with solid batting start as 120/1 at stumps
Having got excellent start on 1st day of 3rd test, Australia resumed batting with SPD Smith and GJ Maxwell on 2nd day morning. Maxwell completed his 1st hundred of test cricket and went back to pavillion. Skipper SPD Smith remained not out till and made very good 178 runs. Australia all out scoring 451 runs after lunch time. RA Jadeja picked up 5 wickets with superb bowling performance. UT Yadav also bowled well and took 3 wickets for India.
India in reply made solid start with KL Rahul and M Vijay initially. Both played sensible cricket and added 91 runs for the 1st wicket before KL Rahul got out scoring well 67 runs. India were 120/1 at stumps day 2. M Vijay 42* and CA Pujara 10* are in middle to resume 3rd day play tomorrow..

Day 1 : Smith's excellent 117* and Maxwell's 82* put Australia on top as Australia 299/4 at stumps day 1 at Ranchi
3rd test of 4 match series between India and Australia has begun today at Ranchi. Opting to bat first, Australia were 299/4 at stumps day 1. Having lost 4 wickets in 140 runs, SPD Smith and GJ Maxwell played excellent cricket in middle and put their team on top. Skipper SPD Smith smashed 117* runs and Maxwell also still in middle with superb 82* runs at the end of day 1 play.
India once again gamble with six batsmen and four bowlers as they played in previous match. UT Yadav bowled well and took 2 wickets. Jadeja and Ashwin got 1 wicket each. India needs to finished Australia inning tomorrow morning early before lunch and fight well with good batting performance to put pressure on Australia.
