Behrendorff's four for 21 powered Australia to restrict India on 118 and made good win by 8 wkts, 3-match series level 1-1

2nd twenty20 international match of 3-match series between India and Australia has been played at India's newest venue Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati, Assam. Putting into bat first by Australia, India's top orders failed to bat well and managed to put small total of 118 runs in 20 overs. Australia in reply made chase easily in 15.3 overs having lost just 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets. JP Behrendorff declared man of the match for his best figures 4-0-21-4.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and opted to first first and let India to set taget. Putting into bat first by Australia, India could not made batter start and lost top four wickets just in 4.3 overs scoring 27 runs. RG Sharma 8, S Dhawan 2, V Kohli 0 and MK Pandey 6 runs were top four pick by Australia bowler Behrendorff with his excellent bowling performance. KM Jadhav 27 runs and HH Pandya with 25 runs helps India to put respactable total of 118 runs in 20 overs.

Australia in reply chasing 119 runs, lost both opening batsmen DA Warner 2 runs and AJ Finch 8 runs early. MC Henriques and TM Head took the charge in hand for Australia and played superb cricket in middle. Both bated till end and presented comprehensive win to Australia by 8 wickets with 27 balls remaining. Henriques made 62* runs and TM Head also contributed well 48* runs for Australia. 3-match series level 1-1 and kept series alive. JP Behrendorff declared man of the match for his excellent bowling figures 4-0-21-4.
