Rohit's powerful century helps India to crush Australia by 7 wkts, win series 4-1 and lifts to No.1 ODIs ranking

5th and final one-day international of 5-match series has been played at Nagpur today. Opting to bat first, Australia after getting excellent start, managed to put average total of 242 runs in 50 overs. India in reply made chase easily in 42.5 overs having lost 3 wickets and won the match by 7 wickets with 43 balls remaining. India won the series 4-1 as well. Rohit Sharma played well ans smashed 125 runs of 109 balls and declared man of the match for his powerful knock. Hardik Pandya declared man of the series for his all rounder performance.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and oted to bat first. Australia got superb start with AJ Finch and DA Warner initially. Both played well and added 66 runs for 1st wicket before Finch got out scoring 32 runs. DA Warner also contributed well 53 runs. TM Head 42 runs and MP Stoinis 46 runs also played well but play very slow cricket. At the end of 50 overs Ahstralia managed to put 242 runs on board for India to get.

Following target of 243 runs, India got excellent start with inform AM Rahane and RG Sharma. Both played brave cricket and put 124 runs for 1st wicket before Rahane got out contributing 61 runs. This was Rahane's 4th consecutive fifty of the series. RG Sharma played powerful inning of 125 runs of 109 runs and put India on winning position as well. India made chase in 42.5 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. India won series 4-1 and retained No.1 position in ODIs ranking as well.
