Day 4 : Axar's five-for on his debut and Ashwin's allround execution powered India to crush England by 317 runs & level series 1-1
On 4th day of 2nd Test, England resume batting with 53/3 and finished inning on 164 runs. India won the match comprehensively by 317 huge margins of runs. R Ashwin declared man of the match for his brilliant century and 8 wickets in match. Axar Patel also perform well with ball, get five wicket haul and took seven wickets in match. Now both teams will fly to Ahmedabad for rest of two matches with 4-match series level 1-1.
Day 3 : Ashwin's 106 & Kohli's 62 runs led India to dominate England on 3rd day as visitor needs more 429 runs with 7 wkts in hand
On 3rd day of 2nd Test, India resume batting with 54/1 and finished inning on 286 runs. Virat Kohli smashed 62 runs with classical batting performance and Ravichandran Ashwin's superb 106 runs helps India to dominate England on 3rd day of Test. Jack Leach and Moeen Ali took four wickets each for England. India set huge 481 runs target for England to get adding 195 runs of 1st inning. Bating in 2nd inning England were 53/3 with Dan Lawrence (19*) and Joe Root (2*) runs at stumps day-3.
Day 2 : Ashwin's Excellent bowling with five-for led India to finish England on 134 and led by 249 runs with 9 wkts in hand
On 2nd day of 2nd Test, India resume batting with 300/6 and finished inning on 329 runs. Rishabh Pant played well today and remained unbeaten contributing 58 runs. Moeen Ali took four wickets and Olly Stone took three wickets for England. England came into bat and completely dominate by Indian bowlers from the start of their inning. Top order batsmen collepsed badly and lost five wickets on 52 runs. Finaly, team England all out scoring 134 runs. Ben Foakes was highest scorer with 39 runs. India got 195 runs lead in 1st inning. Bating in 2nd inning India were 54/1 with RG Sharma (25*) and CA Pujara (7*) runs at stumps day-2.
Day 1 : Rohit Sharma's 7th test ton and with Rahane's 162 runs 4th wkt stand led India to a 300/6 at stumps
On first day of 2nd Test, India won the toss and elected to bat first. India failed to get good start and lost Shbhman Gill early for a duck, CA Pujara joined with Rohit Sharma and played good cricket initially. On team score 85 and 86 runs India lost two quick wickets of Pujara (21) and Virat Kohli (0) run. AM Rahane came in middle and played sensible cricket. RG Sharma snashed 7th test ton and made 161 huge runs before left the field. AM Rahane followed him contributing well 67 runs, Jack Leach & Moeen Ali bowled well and took 2 wickets each. India were 300/6 with RR Pant (33*) and Axar Patel (5*) runs at stumps day-1.
