4th Test : Axar and Ashwin's five-for powered India to win by innings and 25 runs won series 3-1 & qualify for WTC final
4th Test match of four Test match series between India and England at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Day 3 : Axar and Ashwin's five-for powered India to win by innings and 25 runs won series 3-1 & qualify for WTC final
Resuming 294/7 on previous day score, India with Washington Sunder's wonderful unbeaten 96 runs and Axar Patel's 43 runs made 365 runs. India earn 160 runs over England in 1st inning. Coming into bat for 2nd inning with 160 runs debt, English batsmen continued to struggle against Indian spin duo and all out scoring just 135 runs in 54.5 overs. India made comprehensive win by an innings and 25 runs and won 4-match series 3-1 as well. India also qualify for WTC final to be held in Lord's cricket Stadium. RR Pant declared man of the match for his 101 runs. R Ashwin declared man of the series for his all-round performances with century and 32 wickets in series.
Day 2 : Rishabh Pant's ton & Washington Sundar's unbeaten 60 runs led India to a 294/7 at stumps
Resuming 24/1 on previous day score, India with Rohit Sharma's classic 49 runs, Rishabh Pant's superb 101 runs and Washington Sundar's unbeaten 60 runs made 294 runs having lost seven wickets. James Anderson took 3 wickets, Stokes and Leach picked-up two wickets each for England as well. Washington with 60 runs and local boy Axar Patel with 11 runs were in middle at stumps day-2.
Day 1 : Axar Patel and R Ashwin's duo continued to trouble English Batsmen and finished on 205, India were 24/1 at stumps
On very first day of 4th Test, England won the toss and elected to bat first. Visitor team all out scoring just 205 runs. Axar Patel once again bowled very well and took four wickets and R Ashwin also took three wickets for Indial. In coming bowler Mohammed Siraj picked up two wickets as well. Ben Stokes played good inning of England with 55 runs. Coming into bat, India were 24/1 with Rohit Sharma (8) and CA Pujara (15) runs at stumps day-1.
