Dhawan and Rohit's excellent batting with 80 runs each powered India to upset New Zealand by 53 runs in Nehra's farewell match at Delhi

1st twenty20i of 3-match series has been played between India and New Zealand today at Delhi. Putting into bat first by New Zealand, India with RG Sharma and S Dhawan's 80s managed to put huge total of 202 runs in 20 overs. New Zealand in reply managed to score 149 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 53 runs. India led 3-match series 1-0. S Dhawan declared man of the match for his 80 runs of 52 balls.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and put India into bat first. India got slow but steady start with RG Sharma and S Dhawan. Both started to went after Kiwis bowlers after half way of ining and smashed 80 runs each with clinical performances. Kohli also played quick inning of 26 runs of 11 balls and put India on huge total of 202 runs in 20 overs.

New Zealand in reply managed to score 149 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 53 runs. Ashish Nehra played his last match of international career and got very warm good bye as India won the match by huge margins of 53 runs.
