India upset New Zealand in thriller last ball finished match and registered consecutive 6th series win against Kiwis
3rd one-day international match of 3-match series between India and New Zealand has been played at Kanpur today. Putting into bat first by New Zealand, India with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's hundreds managed to put huge tast of 338 runs for New Zealand to win in decider match at Kanpur. Rohit made 147 and Kohli contributed well 113 runs for India. New Zealand in reply managed to score 331 runs in 50 overs and lost the match by just 6 runs in last ball finished match. India won series 2-1. RG Sharma declared man of hte match for his 147 runs. V Kohli declared man of hte series for his 263 runs with 2 100s in 3 matches.
Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and decided to field first. Putting into bat first by New Zealand, India lost S Dhawan early scoring 14 runs. Skipper V Kohli joined with RG Sharma and played excellent cricket for India. Both smashed hunderds and made 230 runs partnership for 2nd wicket as well. RG Sharma made well 147 runs before got out and Kohli contributed 113 runs before left the field. India managed to put huge total of 337 runs in 50 overs.
New Zealand in reply played positive cricket and faught very well. Un fortunately visitor team managed to score 331 runs in 50 overs and lost the match just by 6 runs in high scoring last ball finished match at Kanpur. C Munro 75 runs, KS Willimson 64 runs, TA Latham 65 runs and HM Nocholls 37 runs were top scorers for New Zealand. At one stage Kiwis needed 15 runs in 6 balls and lost the match by just 6 runs in thrilling encounter decider match. India won the 3-match series 2-1 and also registered 6th consecutive win over New Zealand as well. RG Sharma declared man of the for his brave 147 runs.
