3rd twenty20 match of three t20i match series between India and New Zealand played at Kolkata.

Opting to bat first, India got firing start with Rohit and Ishan initially. Both added 69 runs in 6.1 overs before Ishan got out scoring 29 runs. Rohit played wonderful cricket and smashed his 26 t20i fifty. He made 56 runs of 31 balls. suryakumar and Rishabh got out early, but Shreyas Iyer played well and made 25 runs. In later overs, Harshal Patel's 18 runs and Deepak Chahar's super quick 8 balls 21 unbeaten runs helps India to set 185 runs target for New Zealand to get. M Santner bowled well and took 3 wickets of 27 runs.

Following huge target of 185 runs, New Zealand most batsmen failed to bat well and all scoring just 111 runs in 17.2 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 73 runs. Martin Guptill played well and contributed 36 balls 51 runs. Axar Patel bowled superbly and took 3 wickets of just 9 runs in his 3 overs. Harshal Patel also took 2 wickets as well. Axar declared man of the match. India won 3-match series 3-0.
