DAY - 3
Excellent spin bowling performances gave India comprehensive win on 3rd day of Test-1 at Mohali. RA Jadeja declared man of the match for his all-round performance on test return.
Earlier, on 3rd day India resume play with 125/2 with CA Pujara and V Kohli. Pujara made 77 ad Kohli contributed 29 runs before left the field. Other Indian batsmen collapse agains African spin attack and India all out scoring 200 runs in 2nd inning. Imran Tahir and SR Harmer picked-up 4 wickets each for South Africa. South Africa got 218 runs target to win.
Following target fo 218 runs, South Africa surrender against Indian spin attack and all out scoring just 109 runs in 39.5 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 108 runs on 3rd day of Mohali Test.
RA Jadeja (India) declared man of the match for his all round performances with total 8 wickets and 38 runs in 1st inning.
DAY - 2
On 2nd day D Elgar and skipper HM Amla starded South Africa inning slowly and confidently..Both played well and contributed 37 and 43 runs respectively before R Ashwin sent both into pavillion. Man on form AB de Villiers came in middle and played useful inning of 63 runs for South Africa but, at other end Africa continued to lost iwickets and team all out scoring 184 runs in 68 overs. RA Ashwin picked-up 5 wickets and RA Jadeja took 3 wickets for India. India earn 17 runs lead even if small totals in 1st inning.
India could not made batter start in 2nd inning and lost S Dhawan again for no score. CA Pujara and M Vijay took charge in hand and played slow but sensible cricket in middle. M vijay contributed 47 runs before left the field. CA Pujara is still in middle with 63* runs with Virat Kohli 11* runs at stump Day-2.
India lead by 142 runs with 8 wickets remaining.
DAY - 1
1st Test match of 4 match series between India and South Africa is in progress at PCA Stadium, Mohali. India won the Toss and decided to bat first at Mohali. The decision not proved in favor of India as India got all out scoring 201 runs in 68 overs. D Elgar picked-up important 4 wickets for South Africa. VD Philander and Imran Tahir took 2 wickets each for Africa. South Africa managed to score 28/2 at stump Day-1.
Earlier, Opting to bat first India could not made batter start and lost S Dhawan early for no score. CA Pujara and skipper V Kohli also got out in quick successions and India were in trouble. Opening batsman M Vijay played good inning of 75 runs and RA Jadeja contributed well 38 runs for India. Other middle and lower orders could not stood in middle for long and India managed to score 201 runs in 1st inning at Mohali.
South Africa in reply started inning very slowly with D Elgar and S van Zyl initially. S van Zyl could not understand R Ashwin well and lost his wicket scoring just 5 runs. F du Plessis also followed him and sent to pavellion by RA Jadeja for no score. South Africa managed to score 28/2 at stump Day-1.
