Day-3
South Africa resume batting on 3rd day with 32/2 on 2nd day score. Indian spinners striked early and sent Elgar and AB de Villiers early into pavillion. Skipper Amla and F du Plessis bated well and contributed 39 runs each before lost their wickets. Both faild to understand Amit Mishra googly bowls. Rest was done by R Ashwin with his brillient bowling performances and India won the match by 124 runs. Ashwin picked-up total 12 wickets in the match and declared man of the match for his extra-ordinery bowling performances.
India led 4 test match series 2-0.
Day-2
South Africa resume batting on 2nd day with 11/2 on 1st day score. Indian spinners totally dominated South African batsmen deadly and restricted them just on 79 runs before lunch day-2. India gain healthy lead of 136 runs with their 215 runs in 1st inning score. Ashwin took 5 wickets and Jadeja also bowled well with 4 wickets for India.
India started 2nd inning with 136 runs lead. India could not made batter start and lost M Vijay erly scoring 5 runs, S Dhawan made 39 and CA Pujara 31 runs before lost their wickets. Other middle and lower orders could not stood in middle for long and India managed to score 173 runs and all out in 46.3 overs. Imran Tahir picked-up 5 wickets and M Morkel took 3 wickets for South Africa.
With 310 runs target, South Africa started 2nd inning slowly and confidently but, lost early wickets just in 29 runs. R Ashwin and Amit Mishra picked-up 1 wicket each. Total 20 wickets fall on Day-2. At stump South Africa were 32/2. South Africa needed 278 runs to win this match and India needs 8 wickets to win test series.
Day-1
Opting to bat First on turning pitch, India all out scoring 215 runs on Day1 at Nagpur, SR Harmer 4 & M Morkel 3 wkts bowled well from South Africa. Africa were 11/2 at stump on day 1.
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first on turning pitch of Nagpur. India got good opening start with 50 runs partnership between M Vijay and SDhawan initially. Dhawan fall after scoring 12 runs and Vijay also lost his wickwt contributing 40 runs. Other middle orders got good start but could not convert innings for bg score and lost wickets in regular interwals. RS Jadeja played sensible inning of 34 runs and WP Saha gave him good stand with 32 runs in later part of Indian inning. India got all out scoring 215 runs in 78.2 overs.
South Africa in first inning lost 2 early wickets in 9 overs scoring just 11 runs,. Both wickets taken by Indian spiners R Ashwin and RA Jadeja respectively. Africa will resume play with 11/2 tomorrow morning.
