Day 5 : After Bhuvneshwar & Shami's killer bowling, bad light helps Sri Lanka to draw the Test at Kolkata
On 5th day India resumed batting with 171/1 and declare inning on 352/8. V Kohli played good inning of 100* and helps India to put 231 runs target for Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan batsmen surrendered against Indian pace trios and lost 7 wickets scoring just 75 in 26.3 overs before match forced to end due to bad light at Eden Gardens. B Kumar, Mhd Shami and UT Yadav bowled very well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 47 wickets. B Kumar's 11-8-8-4 extra ordinery figures gave him man of the match. Bhuvi picked up 8 wickets in match as well. 3-match series level 0-0.

Day 4 : Sri Lanka got 122 runs lead but KL Rahul & S Dhawan gave excellent start and India were 171/1 at stumps
On 4th day Sri Lanka resumed with 165/4 and all out on 294 runs. HMRKB Hearth played useful inning of 67 runs and helps Sri Lanka to put 294 runs for the 1st inning and got heathy lead of 122 runs over India . India in 2nd inning got excellent start with KL Rahul and S Dhawan. Both played well and added 166 runs for 1st wickets before Dhawan lost his wicket scoring well 94 runs. India were 171/1 at stumps day-4. KL Rahul 73* and CA Pujara 2* were in middle to resume 5th day play at Kolkata.

Day 3 : India 172 all out & Sri Lanka 165/4 looking for to take good first inning lead with 6 wickets in hand
On 3rd day India resumed with 74/5 and all out on 172 runs. CA Pujara played slow but classic inning of 52 runs and lower orders contributed well to helps India to put 172 runs for the 1st inning. Sri Lanka lost opening batsmen early but, Thirimanne (51) and AD Mathews (52) played good innings for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka were 165/4 at stumps day 3. Skipper LD Chandimal 13* and Dickwella 14* were in middle to resume 4th day play for Sri Lanka. B Kumar took both opening batsmen's wicket and UT Yadav also took 2 wickets for India.

1st test of 3-match series started today at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. On a damp pitch under overcast skies, only 11.5 overs game possible due to wet out field at Eden Gardens. Sri Lanka won the toss and put India into bat first. Suranga Lakmal got out KL Rahul on very first ball of match. He did also sent S Dhawan and skipper V Kohli also iin to pavillion with excellent bowling. He finished with extra ordinery spell of 6-6-0-3 at stump day-1. India were 17/3 just in 11.5 overs game of 1st day.
