2nd Test : Rishabh's quick 50 & Iyer's 67 runs followed by superb bowling led India to win by 238 runs & won series 2-0

2nd Test of two test match series played between Sri Lanka and India at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during Sat, Mar 12 to March 16, 2022.

Day - 1

Opting to bat first, India with Shreyas Iyer's wonderful 98 balls 92 runs with Hanuma Vihari and RR Pant's thirties managed to score 252 runs in 1st inning. Lasith Embuldeniya and Praveen Jayawickrama took 3 wickets each for Sri Lanka. Batting in 1st inning Sri Lanka lost top orders early and were 86/6 at stumps Day-1. Bumrah bowled well and took 3 wikets. Shami also get 2 wickets as well. Sri Lanka still trailed by 166 runs.

Day - 2

Resume batting from 86/6 Sri Lanka team all out scoring just 109 runs in 35.5 overs. JJ Bumrah bowled well and took 5 wickets spending just 24 runs. Ashwin and Shami took 2 wickets each. India earn 143 runs lead. Batting in 2nd inning, India with Rohit's 46 runs, RR Pant's firing 31 balls 50 runs and SS Iyer's superb 67 runs declared inning scoring 303/9 runs. Praveen Jayawickrama tok 4 wkts and Lasith Embuldeniya took 3 wkts for Sri Lanka. Chasing 447 runs, Sri Lanka were 28/1 as stumps.

Day - 3

Resume batting from 28/1 Sri Lanka team all out scoring 208 runs and lost thr match by huge margins of 238 runs. Dimuth Karunaratne played well and smashed 107 runs. Kusal Mendis also played good inning of 54 runs for Sri Lanka. Ravi Ashwin took 2 wickets and Bumrah claimed 3 wickets for India. SS Iyer dclared man of the match and RR Pant declared player of the series. India won 2-match series 2-0 as well.
