On third day, West Indies start inning with 94/6 and all out scoring 181 runs. India forced follow-on and West Indies once again all out scoring 196 runs in 2nd inning and lost the match by huge margins of innings and 272 runs on third day of Rajkot Test. R Ashwin took 4 wickets in 1st inning and Kuldeep Yadav picked-up 5 wickets in 2nd inning with excellent bowling perfornances. PP Shaw declared man of the match for his debut test match century with positive attitite in 1st inning. India led 2-match series 1-0.

On second day, Virat Kohli's 24th ton in test, RR Pant's supreb 92 of 84 balls and Ravindra Jadeja's 1st test ton helps India to put huge 1st inning total of 649/9d. West Indies were 94/6 at stumps Day 2. Mhd Shami 2, Ashwin, Jadeja and Kuldeep took 1 wickets each for India. West Indies steel trail by 555 runs with 4 wickets remaining.
Day 1 : PP Shaw's debut ton with 134 runs helps India to a 364/4 at stumps day-1 of 1st test against West Indies at Rajkot
1st test match of 2 match series played between India and West Indies at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. Opting to bat first, India open inning with debuten PP Shaw and KL Rahul. KL Rahul went early for a duck but, Prithvi and CA Pujara keep the charge in hand for India and added 206 runs for 2nd wicket before Pujara got out scoring well 86 runs. Prithvi stood in middle and played positive cricket in his very 1st test inning. He smashed century in 99 balls with 15 impressive fours all round the ground. He made 134 runs before lost his wicket. AM Rahane also played good inning of 41 runs before left the field. Skipper Virat Kohli is steel in middle scoring superb 72 runs with RR Pant 17 runs. India were 364/4 at stumps Day-1.
