1st T20i : Jasprit Bumrah's 2 for 24 led India to restricted Ireland on 139 runs and won by 2 runs D/L method
1st twenty20i match of three t20i match series has been played between Ireland vs India at Malahide Cricket Club Ground, Dublin on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Putting into bat first by India, Ireland lost 3 wickets of just 4 runs in very 1st over of Bumrah. Other orders also failed to bat well and at one stage Ireland were 5/31 in 6.3 overs. Curtis Campher with 39 runs and Barry McCarthy's quick 33 balls 51 unbeaten runs powered IReland to set defending target of 140 runs for India to get. Bumrah, MP Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each for India.
Following 140 runs target, India were 47/2 in 6.5 overs and rain stopped the match. India declared winner as D/L methond by 2 runs. Jasprit Bumrah declared man of the match for his 2 wickets. India led 3-match series 1-0 as well.
