1st T20i : Sikandar Raza's 17 runs & 3 wickets, Clive Madande's 19 runs and Tendai Chatara's 3 for 16 led Zimbabwe to upset India by 13 runs

1st twenty20i match of five t20i match series has been played between Zimbabwe vs India at Harare Sports Club Ground, Harare on Saturday, July 06, 2024.

Putting into bat first by India, Zimbabwe Clive Madande's unbeaten 25 balls 29 runs, Dion Myers' 23 runs and Brian Bennett's 22 runs managed to set small traget of 116 runs for India to get. Ravi Bishnoi bowled well and took 4 wickets of 13 runs in his 4 overs. Washington Sundar also picked up 2 wickets for India as well.

Following small target of 116 runs, India with very poor batting performances all out scoring just 102 runs in 19.5 overs and lost the match by 13 runs. Shubman Gill with 31 runs and Washington Sundar with 27 runs were top scorers for India. Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raza bowled well for Zimbabwe and shared 3 wickets each with superb bowling. Sikandar Raza declared man of the match for his 17 runs and 3 wickets.
