1st Test : Rain washed out 5th day play and test ends in draw, Both teams get four WTC points

1st Test match of five Test match series has been played between England and India at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Electing to bat first, England managed to score 183 runs in 1st inning. JOe Root with 64 runs were top scorer for England. Bumrah bowled well for India and picked up 4 wickets. SN Thakur also took 3 wickets for India. Batting in 1st inning, India made 278 runs with KL Rahul's 84 runs and RA Jadeja's 56 runs. India earn 95 runs lead over England. Ollie Robinson with 5 wickets and James Anderson with 4 wickets were best bowlers for England.

In 2nd inning, England made 303 runs with Joe Root's superb 109 runs and set 209 runs target for India to get. Bumrah once again bowled well and took 5 wickets. India were 52/1 at 4th day stumps. On the 5th day, Rain washed the whole day play and match ends in Draw. Both teams awared 4 WTC points.
