4th Test : India's all round batting and bowling performances forced England to knees down by 157 runs & led series 2-1

4th Test match of five Test match series played between England and India at The Oval, London.

England won the toss and put India into bat first, Team India all out scoring just 191 runs in 61.3 overs. Virat Kohli with 50 runs and SN Thakur with quick 36 balls 57 runs were top scorers for India. Chris Woakes bowled well and took 4 wickets. Ollie Robinson also picked up 3 wickets for England. Batting in 1st inning, England with Ollie Popes' 81 runs and CR Woakes' fifty runs made 290 runs and gain 99 runs lead over India. Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets and Bumrah & Jadeja took 2 wickets each for India as well.

Batting in 2nd inning wuth 99 runs debt, India with RG Sharma's 127 runs, CA Pujara's 61 runs, SN Thakur's 60 and RR Pant's 50 runs score 466 runs with excellent batting performances. India set 368 runs target for England to get as well. Rory Burns and Hameed's fifties gave England wonderful start in 2nd inning. Skipper Joe Root also played good inning of 36 runs. Other batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and England team all out scoring 210 runs. India won by 157 runs and led 5-match series 2-1 as well. Rohit Sharma declared man of the match for his wonderful century.
