2nd T20i : Hooda's 104, Samson's 77 runs led India to set huge 226 runs & won by 4 runs, India won 2-match series 2-0

2nd twenty20 international match of two t20i match series played between Ireland vs India at Dublin (The Village, Malahide) on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Opting to bat first, India lost Ishan Kishan early scoring just 3 runs. Deepak Hooda joined with Sanju Samson and played superb cricket. Both smashed record 176 runs stand for 2nd wicket for India in t20is. Samson played wonderful inning of 42 balls 77 runs and Deepak Hooda smashed 57 balls 104 runs in his brave inning. India set huge 226 runs target for Iralnd to get in 20 overs. Mark Adair bowled well for Ireland and took 3 wickets.

Following 226 runs, Ireland got firing start with Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie initially. Andy Balbirnie made 60 runs and Stirling played quick inning of 18 balls 40 runs. Harry Tector's 39 runs and George Dockrell with 34 runs of 16 balls fought hard but managed to score 221 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by just 4 runs. Deepak Hooda declared man of the match for his 104 runs. India won 2-match t20i series 2-0 as well.
