1st Test : Jaiswal's 171, Rohit's 103 and Ashwin's 7 for powered India to knees down West Indies by an innings and 141 runs

India with wondeful batting of Yashawvi Jaiswal's 171 runs in very 1st match and Rohit Sharma's 103 runs score 421/5d in 1st inning. West Indies with poor batting performances score 150 & 130 runs in 1st and 2nd inning respectively. R Ashwin with 12 wkts and Jadeja with 5 wkts in match were top bowlers for India. Yashasvi Jaiswal declared man of the match for his 171 runs.

Opting to bat first, West Indies with very poor batting performances all out scoring just 150 runs in 64.3 overs. Alick Athanaze with 47 runs was top batsman for West Indies. Ravichandran Ashwin bowled well and took 5 wickets of 60 runs in his 24.3 overs. Ravindra Jadeja also picked up 3 wkts as well. India were 80/0 at stumps day-1. Rohit with 30 runs and Jaiswal with 40 runs were in middle to resume 2nd day play.
