VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 45th encounter between Delhi Daredevils vs Mumbai Indians at Feroze Shah Kotla, Delhi on May 06, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Delhi, Mumbai with top orders excellent batting put huge score of 212 runs in 20 overs. LMP Simmons 66 and KA Pollard 63* of 35 balls were top scorers for Mumbai. Delhi in reply collapsed badly with poor batting and all out scoring just 66 runs & lost the match by huge margins of 146 runs. LMP Simmons declared man of the match for his superb 66 runs.
Earlier, Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to field first. Putting into bat first by Delhi, Mumbai got superb start with PA Patel and LMP Simmons initially. Both played good quick cricket and added 79 runs just in 8.4 overs before PA Patel got out scoring 25 runs. KA Pollard promoted in order and joined LMP Simmons to kept the momentum on. Both played quick cricket in middle overs and smashed fifties as well. LMP Simmons's 66 runs included 5 fantastic fours and 4 massive sixes. KA Pollard alsoplayed quick inning of 63* runs just in 35 balls with 5 fours and 4 towring sixes. In later overs HH Pandya played cameo role and smashed 29 runs of 14 balls. Mumbai with all top orders excellent batting managed to put huge score of 212 runs in 20 overs.
Following huge target of 213 runs, Delhi un-experienced top orders failed to got good start and lost top four wickets just in 31 runs. Most batsmen failed to stood in middle forlong and lost wickets in regular interwals. Delhi managed to score just 66 runs in 13.4 overs and lost the match by huge margins of record 146 runs in IPLt20 as well.
