VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 56th encounter between Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore at Feroze Shah Kotla, Delhi on May 14, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Playing for pride and opting to bat first, Bangalore managed to put 161 runs in 20 over with V Kohli's 58 and CH Gayle's 48 runs. Delhi in reply managed to score 151 runs and lost the match by 10 runs. V Kohli made 58 runs, but Harshal Patel declared man of the match for his 3 wickets.

Earlier, Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first and put decent total for Delhi to achieved. Bangalore could not made good start and lost Vishnu Vinod scoring just 3 runs. Skipper V Kohli joined with big man CH Gayle and played superb cricket for Bangalore. Both played good cricket and added 66 runs for 2nd wicket before CH Gayle got out scoring 48 runs. Virat Kohli played well and completed his fourth fifty of IPL 2017 but left the field scoring 58 runs. After two run outs TM Head (2) and KM Jadhav (12) put Bangalore once again to put good score for opposition. In last over P Negi played good inning of 13 runs of 5 balls and put Bangalore on good defending total of 161 runs in 20 overs.

Following target of 162 runs, Delhi lost SV Samson on very second ball of inning for a duck. KK Nair and SS Iyer took the charge in hand for Delhi and played good cricket initially. Both played well and contributed 26 and 32 runs respectively before lost wickets. MN Samuels (0), CJ Anderson (3) and PJ Cummins (7) three quick wickets put Delhi in deep trouble chasing 162 runs. RR Pant played well and made very well 45 runs of 34 balls Other lower orders failed to bat well and Delhi all out scoring 151 runs. Bangalore registered 3rd win of the season by defeating Delhi by 10 runs in last group stage match at Delhi.
