VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 52nd encounter between Delhi Daredevils vs Rising Pune Supergiants at Feroze Shah Kotla, Delhi on May 12, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Opting to bat first Delhi managed to put good score of 168 runs in 20 overs with KK Nair's superb 64 runs. Pune in reply managed to score 161/7 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 7 runs in last ball finished match. KK Nair declared man of the match for his 64 runs.
Earlier, Delhi won the toss and opted to bat first and set decent taget for Pune. The decision not seems in favor of Delhi initially and lost two wickets quickly of just 9 runs. SV Samson (2) amd last match hero SS Iyer (3) were first 2 wicket fall for Delhi. KK Nair and RR Pant took the charge in hand for Daredevils and played sensible cricket. RR Pant left the field scoring well 36 runs and MN Samuels came in middle to join KK Nair. He got good start but lost wicket scoring 27 runs. KK Nair at other played anchoring inning and contributed well 64 runs of 45 balls before got out. Delhi managed to put good total of 168 runs for Pune to get.
Following target of 169 runs. Pune lost AM Rahane in very first ball of inning. RA Tripathi also followed him scoring just 7 runs. Skipper SPD Smith and MK Tiwary came in middle and played good cricket for few overs before Smith got out contributing 38 runs. MK Tiwary tried his best with 60 runs of 45 balls inning but Pune short by 7 runs and lost the match by 7 runs.
