VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 40th encounter between Delhi Daredevils vs Sunrisers Hyderabad at Feroze Shah Kotla, Delhi on May 02, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Delhi, Hyderabad managed to put good total of 185 runs in 20 overs with Yuvraj Singh's excellent 70* runs of 41 balls. Delhi in reply fought very well and with top orders and middle orders excellent batting performances knees down Hyderabad by 5 wickets with 5 ball to bowl. Mohammad Shami declared man of the match for his important wickets with excellent bowling.
Earlier, Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to field first. Sunrisers putting into bat first got firing start as usual with DA Warner and S Dhawan initially. Both added 53 runs in 5.2 overs before Warner lost his wicket scoring 30 runs of 21 balls. S Dhawan also followed him scoring 28 runs of 17 balls. KS Willimson and Yuvraj Singh came in middle and played slow but sensible cricket for Hyderabad. Willimson got out scoring 24 runs but Yuvraj Singh played good inning of unbeaten 70 runs of 41 balls and put Sunrisers on good total of 185 runs in 20 overs. MC Henriquie also played supporting role and contributed 25 runs in 18 balls.
Following huge target of 186 runs, Delhi with all top orders excellent batting performances knees down inform Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets with 5 balls remianing. Well supported by Indian top orders foreign players CJ Anderson and CH Morris' sensible batting presented well needed win to Delhi at home. Mhd Shami declared man of the match for his 2 important wicket with superb bowling performances.
